Recently, the Plei App expanded into our 10th City, Los Angeles, California. 🌴 Another one of the pickup facilities that we have partnered with is Urban Soccer 5 Center, also known as US5 Center for short.
Located just 15 minutes south from Downtown LA in Norwalk (not far from I-5, I-605 and Imperial Highway), Urban Soccer 5 Center is a powerhouse in the 5-a-side pickup soccer community in LA, despite only having one location. 10 LED lit fields, each with HD cameras, are the obvious highlight of the venue, Professional soccer players stop by from time to time, also!
Upon arriving at the facility, you’ll have access to a number of amenities and resources that will surely elevate your footy experience. US5 Center offers free on-site parking as well as free Wifi for when you’re inside. Inside are locker rooms with individual showers and lockers, so you can keep your items secure while you’re on the pitch and also get clean afterwards, so bring a change of clothes!
If you’re feeling hungry before or after a game (although we don’t recommend eating prior to playing), you can hit up US5 Café and grab yourself anything from French crepes and sandwiches to coffee drinks and smoothies. Seriously though, please don’t drink a coffee before a game (unless of course you need it to bag a Ronaldo-esque hattrick).
At the café, you’ll be able to relax and enjoy content from the 20+ televisions that will be broadcasting live games on the fields as well as live sports channels and main events. It doesn’t get any better than this.
Or does it? Urban Soccer 5 Center has their very own soccer shop, where you can buy nothing but the best 5-a-side footy equipment, ranging from customizable jerseys and socks to shorts and turf shoes. Speaking of turf shoes, they are strongly recommended on the pickup fields, as regular cleats are not adapted to their artificial turf, which can lead to injuries and cause damage to the pitch.
Want to see your game footage afterwards? You’ll be able to replay your pro pickup highlights in the US5 clubhouse. If you happen to forget, you can always rewatch them online on US5 Soccer Center’s website and find your game via US5 TV, which will have all replays from the last 7 days.
