Back in April 2022, the Plei App expanded into a new market: Denver, Colorado! 🏔️ Since then, we have only been partnered with one facility, Denver Soccer Society… until now! Introducing our latest partnership in the Mile High City: The Eddy! As part of our new blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner facilities in every region where Plei has touched down. 🛬

Boasting 41,000 square feet of air-conditioned space, The Eddy is located in Aurora, which is just a few miles east of Denver. 📍
Believe it or not, the name actually has a special meaning behind it. ‘The Eddy’ is actually a term commonly used in rafting and kayaking. An eddy is a circular movement of flowing water on the river that can trap objects inside a whirlpool, but also act as a place of refuge. To keep in line with the theme of the Colorado Rapids, the developers agreed on the name as an appropriate analogy, and the rest of history. 🌊
Here you’ll find four (4) beautiful fields with high-quality Astro-Turf, each suited for 5v5 and 4v4 games. The fields are well-maintained year-round, so you won’t have to worry about tripping up over holes or patches of ugly grass. 🌱
A separate designated field area to the right of the four small-sided fields is used for goalkeeper development and other supplemental training. The grass area right below this is a dedicated space for players to work on speed, agility and quickness. 💨
Parking can be a problem at many soccer facilities, especially those in the big cities of Miami, LA and New York. You won’t have to worry about that at The Eddy, though! There are a total of 800 spots available in front of the entrance, and despite the presence of multiple businesses in this plaza, this lot almost never fills up. 🚗
There’s plenty of room indoors as there is for cars outside. Comfortable seating areas are available for guests to hang out at and enjoy the ongoing action. Multiple sets of bleachers, tables and chairs are available on both sides of the facility for convenience. 👀
As The Eddy is primarily geared towards the youth, designers included a classroom inside the building that provides space for up to 100 people. CRYSC offices are located inside, as well. There’s also a concession area where a unique selection of snacks and drinks are sold, so you won’t have to worry about starving or dying of thirst before or after your pickup game. 🍟🥤
Other convenient amenities include high-speed wi-fi, televisions, bathrooms, water fountains and even a parent hangout area where they can work, interact and relax while their kids put in that work on the field. 💪
The Eddy offers various leagues and programs throughout the year for players as young as 3 and as old as 19. Aspiring young players who aim to play for Colorado Rapids in the MLS one day can look forward to futsal leagues, development camps, possession camps, goalkeeper training camps and a Soccer Start program for ages 3-5. 👶
