😱 31 days in the month of March, 31 games played by our new champion! 😱
The day has come: the previously impossible has now been made possible. Back in September 2022, Felix A broke the record for most pickup games played in a month with 27 games. Just a month later, the legendary Michael Gundlach made history after playing a grand total of 29 Plei App games in October. We’re going to be completely honest, we thought that was insane and that there would be no topping that, at least not for a while.
5 months later, we have been proven wrong.
31 games later, our new champion - who hails from Venezuela and plays his Plei App footy in South Florida - has written his name Plei App history forever… or until someone plays 32 times in a month (that’s a challenge for all you readers if you didn’t get the hint 😉).
Without further ado (drumrolls, please… 🥁), it’s with pleasure that we congratulate Adrian O for topping our POTM leaderboard and sweeping away all the competition! 🧹 He played a game nearly every day, and on many occasions this past month he even played 2-3 games in a single day! To commemorate the work he put in, we will be sending him his rightful first place prize of 3 free Plei App dry fits plus 3 free game credits. 🥇
Adrian may have swept his fellow competitors away last month, but don’t let that distract you from the work that the rest of the Top 15 put in! The combined total of games played in March between our best 15 users was 334, which is officially another Plei App record broken! Previously, the largest combined Top 15 total was 297 from this past February, which shows us that new records aren’t standing for very long. 😅
Let’s continue to give credit where it’s due. Playing 26 times in March, Adriano D from Brazil 🇧🇷 takes 2nd place. He only recently joined in January, so we’re glad to see that he’s putting plenty of hours into South Florida pickup soccer with us! He’s surely earned his 2 free game credits and 2 free shirts. 🥈
Bronze goes to none other than Berk S, who matches his personal best of 25 games that he achieved back in October, which also coincidentally got him 3rd place. 🥉 With this result, he makes his return to the Top 15 for the first time since his 5th place performance in December, also marking his first appearance in 2023. 👊
Ryan C, whose previous personal best of 21 games earned him a bronze medal in December, climbs his way back into the leaderboard, this time outdoing himself with 24 games played. The man from Jamaica takes 4th place! 🇯🇲
Rakin S, who secured many high placements throughout 2022 - even taking 2nd place at one point - grabs 5th place off 23 games to go 3 for 3 in terms of Top 15 appearances this year. We all know him to be one of our Plei App veterans, as he’s been the app since February 2019. Will he finally become a champion in the coming months? 👀
After grabbing bronze in February, Claire M from Canada is back in the Top 15 again, this time finishing in 6th place with 23 games played, a personal best! Meanwhile, Yussef G, another familiar face from recent months, takes 7th place with 1 game less than Claire. It’s his personal best as well, but 18 games back in November was enough to finish 2nd place! More proof that it’s getting extra competitive… 😶
This blog wouldn’t be complete without a mention of Michael J, who finishes 8th place this month from 21 games played. We don’t if our readers need this reminder, but if you do, recall that the man from Hong Kong has never failed to appear in the Top 15, dating all the way back to its inception in May 2022. Talk about someone who truly loves the beautiful game.
Another Venezuelan finds his way into the Top 10: Sergio S! 🇻🇪 With 21 games played in March, he takes 9th place. This achievement also marks his 2nd consecutive Top 15 appearance this year. He’s been on the Plei App for some years now, having joined in September of 2019, so we’re happy to see him enjoying pickup soccer in South Florida. 😎
And with the same amount played (the tiebreaker of course being all-time # of games), St. Louis baller Paul S finishes in 10th. This is his first ever appearance in our Top 15, so congrats goes out to him! Keep reppin’ the Lou! 🍭
We want to shout out the other 5 players that made our Top 15: Luis A (11th), JoseJose O (12th), Enny O (13th), Moe M (14th) & Melchior V (15th)! 🙌
Jenny R from our Maryland region played 19 games like Enny, Moe and Melchior this past month. Although her final position is listed as 16th, she will be earning Top 15 prizes as well! 🎉
We love to highlight the growing diversity of the Plei App community. A total of 34 different countries filled up our top 100 in March, with 11 of those countries being represented in the top 15. Overall, 130+ unique nationalities represented the entire Plei App this past month. The “Beautiful Game” in the flesh! ♥️
We want to remind everyone that all players who make it into our monthly top 100 earn a free Plei App shirt! 🆓
🚨REMINDER 🚨: Throughout 2023, we will not be using one consistently updated link where you would all normally keep track of your leaderboard progress. Instead, a new link will be provided each month. 📆
Here is the final list for the top 15 players of March 2023!

The competition is getting more and more heated, and it’s not even summer yet! 😅☀️
