In an era where technology is at the forefront of nearly every aspect of society, sometimes we tend to leave behind and forget about the beauties of the past. Thankfully, Adidas has come through once again, providing the new generation - and the preexisting one - with its latest apparel release which features iconic designs from decades gone by.
We only have one comment in regards to the matter: we’re in love with what Adidas has just done.
This new collection was released just over a week ago (from the time of posting) and features jerseys and pants designed to match the OG looks of the 1970s, 80s and 90s. Don’t believe us, keep reading and check out the photos we’ve provided.
The jerseys you’re looking at are directly inspired by the kits worn by the corresponding federations. Adidas has decided to replicate the visual aspects, boasting a completely different fit, fabric and trim compared to the originals, prioritizing lifestyle aesthetic over sports performance.
So if you’re gonna go ahead and cop some of these items, make sure you’re repping them on the streets, not on the pitch.
The Germany kits boast the looks of the great DFB team that won the Euro ‘96.
Meanwhile, the Spain collection draws heavy influence from the iconic 1996 tournament, while the Argentina threads go back two years to the 1994 USA World Cup when they played on home soil.
In this brand new Adidas collection, you’ll find not only kits, jerseys and training wear, but also a full-fledged drop that features tracksuits, t-shirts and shorts.
