Plei expands to Detroit, MI

What’s up, Motor City ballers? 😎

We are delighted to announce that we will be launching in the Great Lakes State! We’ve been working hard to make sure we are consistently adding more and more regions to the Plei App, and we can’t imagine how great the reception will be from all of our Michigan pickup soccer lovers once games start kicking off! In fact, our first one is already completely booked 👀🔥

Our missions of connecting as many people as possible through the game we all love and, more importantly, giving everyone access to playing on their own terms, are far from over. Continue reading to learn about the first Detroit facility that we will be hosting games at (with many more coming soon!):

Livonia Athletic District

Formerly a YMCA building, this facility was reopened in June 2022 as Livonia Athletic District and is now the #1 indoor sports complex in all of Metro Detroit 🙌 Offering a wide range of sports and programs, Livonia Athletic District (or LAD for short) boasts a whopping total of 95,000 square feet of space for all of your sporting needs. The venue features a large indoor turf area that contains two separate fields, one for 5v5/6v6 and another for 10v10 or 11v11 full-sized games!

Along with soccer, LAD also offers football, lacrosse/field hockey, pickleball, swimming and even fitness training programs for strength, yoga, HIIT and more. Other amenities include a kid’s arcade, a café for all your food & drink necessities and a HealthQuest Physical Therapy location if you need help getting back onto that field 🤕 Happy Life Hospitality and the SailFish Swim Club also call LAD home, making this complex a one-stop-shop for all of our Detroit athletes and fitness enthusiasts! 💪

Only a few years ago, Plei was just a dream in our minds, and seeing the reaction from our community is something that inspires us more and more each day.
