In October 2021, the Plei App expanded into our 7th market, Chicago, Illinois. 💜 Since September 2022, we have been hosting pickup games at 5 Stars Sports, and we are looking forward to continuing doing so for many years to come! As part of our new blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner facilities in every region where Plei has touched down. 🛬
Located 15 minutes away from downtown Chicago in Melrose Park, 5 Stars Sports is a premier indoor soccer facility that has been supplying their footy community with 5 turf fields (hence the name) best suited for games as small as 4v4 to games as big as 7v7.
The entire facility is air-conditioned, which is always a necessity if you’ve ever played indoor soccer before. You also won’t have to worry about bringing your own sports equipment; 5 Star has that covered!
Besides being one of the best pickup soccer locations in the area, 5 Stars Sports also offers batting cages as an alternative, and doubles as an event venue for various concerts, shows, indoor fairs, you name it. If you happen to be looking for a cool, spacious facility to bring your event idea to life, 5 Star is an ideal choice.
One of the many highlights of 5 Stars Sports is certainly the food and drink offerings they provide. They have a full-fledged cafeteria and kitchen inside, run by experienced chefs who prepare many high-quality foods that you can read all about on their menu. These same chefs will also be at your service if you choose to host an event here, which is really convenient.
Treat yourself and your 21+ guests to some delicious margaritas, mojitos and more while you’re enjoying your time at Five Star’s very own bar. Whether you’re craving a cocktail, beer, or non-alcoholic juices and beverages, the indoor bar here has it all. Keep in mind that the soccer fields at Five Stars Sports are open from Monday through Friday, but they are also open on Sundays for events and rentals.
