On March 1, 2020, we announced the Plei App’s entrance into its third market, Orlando, FL! 🎢 We were so excited to finally welcome Central Florida to our family, but as luck would have it, the pandemic happened. 😭 We waited patiently (and we know our Orlando ballers were waiting patiently too) until finally in January 2021, we relaunched! Since then, we have been hosting pickup games at High Soccer Arena, and we are looking forward to continuing doing so for many years to come. As part of our new blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner facilities in every region where Plei has touched down. 🛬
Founded in June 2018, High Soccer Arena opened to the South Orlando public right smack in the middle of World Cup knockout stage action. Back then, many of us may have predicted France to go on and win it all, and it has to be said that High Soccer Arena was also projected to be a success, and what a success it has been.
With three (3) artificial turf fields and one (1) hard floor futsal court, each equipped for 5v5 or 6v6 play, HSA is easily one of the largest indoor soccer venues in all of Orlando, FL, measuring at 30,000 square feet. The turf here is well-maintained and pleasing to the eye, so you can check that box off your list, too.
To say that this facility has been a dream come true for pickup soccer lovers would be an understatement. A more realistic statement would be that it has been a dream come true for the entire sports community in South Orlando. Whether it’s to catch a pickup game, join a league/program, play basketball or volleyball on the hard floor court, or just vibe with friends and family at the bar area, HSA has plenty to experience.
For those who enjoy friendly competition, High Soccer Arena has you covered with a social Coed league, open to players 18 and older. If you’re more of a futsal kind of person, then look no further than their adult futsal league. HSA is the home of the 2020 Futsal World Champions!
And of course, pickup play is always around, available throughout the week via the Plei App.
Ever thought of playing pool/billiards, but with your feet? Well, High Soccer Arena brought that idea to life with a 6-by-10 foot billiards table built into the ground at their facility! Players kick soccer balls that are designed like pool balls into six different pockets. Trust us, it’s really fun.
Other attractions at HSA include a “baby soccer” field for ages 4 and under. It’s a 6-by-10 foot turf field surrounded by a fence, and kids use a cushy soccer ball and are supervised by their parents while playing. There’s also a foosball table available!
During the day is when the youth leagues and programs happen. HSA hosts everything from classes, annual tournaments, as well as their very own youth indoor league, making this an optimal location for the next generation of Orlando-based ballers. Birthday parties can also be held here!
Events are happening year-round at High Soccer Arena as well! Last year’s FIFA tournament had a grand prize of a brand new PS5 😳
We also can’t forget to mention that certain Brazilian legends stop by occasionally, too 😉🇧🇷
