Way back in July 2019, the Plei App expanded outside Florida for the first time, partnering with multiple facilities in Houston, Texas. 🚀 The latest venue we have partnered with is Houston Select FC, the sister location of Memorial Indoor Soccer. The two facilities are only two miles apart! We hosted our first game here on February 16, and we are looking forward to continuing doing so for years to come! As part of our new blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner facilities in every region where Plei has touched down. 🛬
While this outdoor location may not offer all the amenities that you would find at the indoor facility, it still provides an excellent footy experience in Houston. The location boasts a singular outdoor field that is perfect for 5v5 and 6v6 play, so you can still enjoy a fast-paced and thrilling game of pickup footy. 🙌
Actually getting to Houston Select FC may be a bit tricky, as it doesn’t technically pop up on Google Maps. However, simply typing in "Kingdom City Church" into your GPS or clicking on the address link above should direct you to the correct location. Once you arrive, you can find the field behind the church. The good news is that plenty of parking is available, so you don't have to worry about not finding a spot for your car. Go ahead and scratch that off your worry list! ✔️
Despite its lack of indoor amenities, the outdoor location still offers the same memorable Houston footy experience. Whether you're a seasoned player or just starting, you'll have a great time playing on the high-quality turf and enjoying the beautiful weather. ☀️
