In June 2021, the Plei App expanded into our 5th City, Dallas, Texas. 🤠 The latest facility we are partnering with is Kick'em Training Facility, and as of March 13, 2023, we have already started hosting games there! As part of our new blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner facilities in every region where Plei has touched down. 🛬
Anyone can suddenly wake up one day and decide that they want to open a soccer facility, whether they truly love the game or not. In the case of founders AKM and Heewon Azad, they decided to open their own because they do indeed love it.
Having previously lived in Southern California until they moved to North Texas in 2008, they had been shuttling their (at the time) 15-year-old son to and from soccer practice for years. This instilled the game of soccer into this family’s DNA, and it wasn’t long before they decided to venture into the idea of opening a dedicated soccer facility of their own.
That facility is Kick’em Training Facility, which opened to the public in January 2013 and was an instant hit within the community. The fully air-conditioned venue, which has now surpassed 10 years of business, features four (4) futsal-style fields perfect for 4v4 and 5v5 games, making it an ideal place to work on your technique in any weather.
Over this past decade, Kick’em has expanded to accommodate various other sports, including but not limited to football, dodgeball and even fitness services.
Conveniently located near the George Bush Freeway and Dart Transit Center, KTF is the perfect place for families. The center offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere with amenities that cater to everyone's needs. In addition to the four futsal fields, KTF also features an eatery, a game room and a lounge area.
The focus at Kick’em is to improve the individual technique and confidence of a player. Whether you’re looking to perfect your skills in any of the playable sports (soccer/futsal, dodgeball, football, etc.), their intensive approach will help you take your game to the next level.
Speaking of intensive approach, athletes can look forward to various programs that occur at different parts of the year, such as boot camps for both adults and kids, and summer camps for the youth. Various events also happen throughout the year, including tournaments and recreational leagues, daycare services and local partnership events. KTF is also a perfect place to host private gatherings like birthday parties and corporate events. Groups big or small are able to rent out the spaces here for whatever event they have in mind. Their facility is suitable for all ages. 🙌
Just a few months ago, Kick’em announced that original founders AKM and Heewon Azad are returning to help run the facility in 2023, having left their ownership positions for some years. 💪
