On March 1, 2020, we announced the Plei App’s entrance into its third market, Orlando, FL! 🎢 We were so excited to finally welcome Central Florida to our family, but as luck would have it, the pandemic happened. 😭 We waited patiently (and we know our Orlando ballers were waiting patiently too) until finally in January 2021, we relaunched! Since then, we have been hosting pickup games at Orlando Indoor Soccer, and we are looking forward to continuing doing so for many years to come. As part of our new blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner facilities in every region where Plei has touched down. 🛬
This veteran facility boasts a total of three (3) high-quality turf fields, one inside and two outside. All of their fields are best suited for 5v5 or 6v6 play, and when the two outdoor fields are combined, it makes for even larger 7v7 or 8v8 matches!
Orlando Indoor is easily one of the city’s leading facilities when it comes to tournaments and league play. In fact, their entire website is dedicated to their various leagues, open to both men and women. They have a total of 7 leagues and are consistently updating standings and schedules for all participating teams online.
We wouldn’t be talking about OIS if they weren’t known for their pickup soccer as well. Pickup matches happen throughout the week, of course dependent on when league games are not taking place. The ability to rent fields is also conveniently available 7 days a week!
Another one of the highlights of Orlando Indoor is actually not soccer-related 😅 The facility is equipped with plenty of social spaces to hang out with friends and family. Inside, you’ll find a beautiful bar area where you can buy select food items and drinks. This area is also equipped with a number of TVs, which makes for a good spot to come together and watch the big games! Plenty of tables and chairs are available here.
Step outside and you’ll be welcomed by a casual gazebo space with picnic tables, a sink, plenty of countertop space (made of marble 🤩), and two built-in grills!
These same spaces can be used to host any kind of event, party or gathering, both indoor and outdoor.
Finally, Orlando Indoor offers their very own youth program for U5 up to U14 boys and girls. The primary goal of the program is to teach young athletes to have fun playing the beautiful game while learning the fundamentals of the game and preparing for the next level.
