Back in April 2022, the Plei App expanded into a new market: Denver, Colorado! 🏔️ Introducing our latest partnership in the Mile High City: Sports Performance Center by BC United! Sports Performance Center by BC United have been doing precisely that since opening the doors of their 20,000 square foot facility in the City of Lafayette nearly a decade ago. 👌
Out of their 20,000 square feet, 13,000 of it is dedicated to the beautiful game. You’ll find a grand total of three (3) artificial fields within an expansive turf house, each perfectly sized for 5v5 games. 🥅
That’s not all, though. This turf space boasts the ability to open up to create an even larger field which can then be used for 7v7/8v8 soccer games, flag football, lacrosse and a number of other activities. 🏈🥍
Good news: despite their fields boasting artificial turf, Sports Performance Center allows for the use of all boot types, whether it’s cleats or flat shoes. They also provide both size 4 and 5 soccer balls, so you won’t have to worry about bringing yours. 🆒
Spectators can rest easy at this facility: there’s a dedicated area near the fields to sit and enjoy food and beverages for those that aren’t playing. Such a space also makes Sports Performance Center an ideal location for all kinds of private events, such as birthday parties or corporate gatherings. 🥳
Another 4,000 square feet belongs to the facility’s full-fledged gym space, fully equipped with four (4) rig stations, kettlebells, dumbbells, ViPRs and speed & agility equipment. There is also plenty of room for plyometrics as well as weightlifting, making the gym ideal for team-based training sessions. 💪
Overall, Sports Performance Center by BC United separates itself from the rest thanks to its indoor nature. During hot Denver summers, you’ll be able to cool off here thanks to the air-conditioning. You also won’t have to worry about freezing during those cold winter nights. ❄️
The staff at the performance center uses a science-backed approach as well as the latest techniques to train players to excel in the demands of their sport. Whether it's through weightlifting for optimal force production or gait training and biomechanical improvements, you can be confident that this facility will help you put your best foot forward on game day. 🦶
Sports Performance Center is owned by Boulder County United, the largest youth soccer club in - you guessed it - Boulder County. They were originally founded in 1979 and were rebranded in 2021. 🗓️
Through charity work and other projects, BC United is constantly looking to integrate and bond with the soccer community that they serve. 🫂
