In February 2023, the Plei App officially expanded into our 14th region: Detroit, Michigan. 🚗 The first facility that we partnered with was Livonia Athletic District, located west of Downtown Detroit. Now, we are excited to announce a new partnership, this time with Wide World Sports Center!
As part of our ongoing blog series, we will be highlighting all of our partner facilities in every region where Plei has touched down. 🛬
We’re talking about Wide World Sports Center in Ann Arbor, the city that - of course - boasts the University of Michigan. 🏫
This sprawling facility has all you need to get your daily or weekly fix of sports action. Primarily for soccer use, Wide World Sports Center is the prime spot for greater Detroit’s beautiful game enthusiasts, offering a harmonious blend of indoor and outdoor playing fields. ❤️🔥
Here you’ll find a total of three (3) outdoor fields (refer to photo above). The largest two fields are suited for 11v11 games, yet their flexibility shines bright, as they can both be split into two to create a pair of 7v7/8v8 fields in each. ✨
This creates a grand total of seven (7) outdoor field options if we also include the extra field connected to the west 11v11 one. 😳
So many ways to play the beautiful game here already, and we haven’t even gone indoors yet. ⚽
Make your way inside and you’ll find three (3) state-of-the-art turf fields for 6v6 play. These spaces are fully air-conditioned and equipped with scoreboards to keep track of those extra-competitive games. 😅
It’s quite the lively footy atmosphere throughout the rest of the facility. You’ll find that country flags are decorated along the ceiling of the venue. Tables and chairs are also conveniently placed right by the fields, so you can relax with friends or munch on a snack from the vending machine or concession stand. 😋
Beyond the pitch, Wide World Sports Center is a hub of activity, hosting exhilarating tournaments, competitive leagues, enriching camps, and a diverse range of youth and adult programs. 🙌
This ensures that there's a soccer experience for everyone, from those learning the game to seasoned pros. 🏆
